omi 2016, the interior lifestyle fair, will be at the Rho Fiera complex in Milan, from the 29th January until the 1st February. Like past editions, Homi 2016 is the place to spot all key trends in home decor for the year to come. Would you like to know more? Don’t miss out on our three style pointers:

 

  • 1 Bien Vivre

After talking about food, which was the main theme last year (Expo 2015 being the reason for this), Homi 2016 revolves around the idea of Bien Vivre (lit. living well). In fact, Bien Vivre is the common thread behind unique and functional objects and home accessories, which will undoubtedly simplify everyday life. And not for nothing, Homi 2016 is subdivided into 10 different themes, including: Living & Habits, Home Wellness, Garden & Outdoor, Kid Style, Home Textiles and Hobby & Work. What’s more, there are: Fragrance & Personal Care, Gift & Events, Concept Lab and even Fashion & Jewels, which is becoming more and more important for Homi.

 

  • 2 Fashion and jewellery first and foremost

Iconic vases (like the one Alvar Aalto designed for Iittala), elegant perfumes (in particular those by Locherber Milano) and designer accessories (impossible not to mention Alessi). And what’s more, you mustn’t miss this year’s key fashion trends: extraordinary accessories, essential costume jewellery, alluring pieces and those to wear all year round. Here, you can also learn about the history of Italian costume jewellery, between the seventies and the eighties (the second part of the exhibition series which started last September).  

 

  • 3 Personality in the home

The home seen as a safe haven, which comes out in our taste and shines through in our lifestyle. This year, the key word is to customize or even better to contaminate. How?
