It’s called Cementum and it translates to “pure innovation”. This new material taps into the state-of-art research of Marazzi, the leader in the manufacture of designer surfaces, in order to reproduce the look and properties of cast concrete with porcelain stoneware. This is achieved with the sophisticated Bodyplus production technology, which brings out the depth and richness of the material with accents of color. Meanwhile, the non-reflecting glaze, which is applied with specific molds for each color, makes the surface realistic and soft-to-the-touch. Plus, it also uses Stepwise technology, which makes the porcelain stoneware completely non-slip.
There are nine formats (cm 120×120 and 60×120 6 mm; cm 75×150, 75×75, cm 60×120 and 60×60 20mm; cm 60×60, cm 30×60 and cm 18×21 in the concrete-look hexagonal form) which can be freely matched to a series of elements, eight colors (four natural ones– Ash, Sand, Nickel, Lead – and four contemporary ones – Indigo, Carbon, Olive, Cotto) and new patterns (Spring, Mosaico, Striato, and Arco) which reimagine the essence of the concrete.
This collection has got it all and allows for countless compositions. Cementum porcelain stoneware is full-bodied, colorful, refined, versatile and has a strong decorative feel. Pragmatic and beautiful, its aesthetics have been studied in the most minute details to recreate a natural and enveloping look which does not give up on high-quality. It provides us with the highest resistance to abrasion and wear, recycled raw materials and surfaces for indoor and outdoor floors and wall coverings so we can decorate our domestic and commercial spaces with a contemporary look and a personal touch.
