shell in bamboo-fibre, moulded in metal: Emu’s latest collection presented at the Salone del Mobile 2019 revolves around an innovative wooden fabric. The result of the brand’s latest collaboration with Meneghello Paolelli Associati, Re-Wood is a seating that marks an important step forward in the field of outdoor design: it’s the first time in fact that this type of technology is used for outdoor furniture.

A real innovation that preserves and exploits the properties of a rigid but flexible material to transform it into a textile surface capable of adapting and bending at will, while maintaining the strength of bamboo.

The five pieces of the collections (chair, armchair, armchair as well as a two and a three-seater sofa) in fact, have an aluminium base that supports the innovative "wooden fabric", a material that takes the shape of the structure, constructing a seat and backrest. In conclusion, Studio Meneghello Paolelli Associati combines different textiles, textures and wood, made additionally comfortable with oversized cushions with a fabric cover, suitable for outdoor use.
