he Uncollected Collection is limited-edition furniture at the border of art and design created by Piero Lissoni for Living Divani. It is a special project to celebrate the brand’s 50th anniversary and seal the deep link between the designer and the company where he was art director for 30 years, in a new dedicated catalog. Tommaso Sartori, the artist and photographer who has collaborated with the brand for years, was called upon to photograph the pieces in order to capture their essence with his refined and captivating style.
It is a pleasantly anonymous uncollected collection: a journey in the search for essence that goes beyond frameworks and rigor in a path of listening and visions which are free to take form.
Being as complex as the human soul, there are pieces with completely different personalities. There are elements that are full and sold, light and subtle, playful and technological. Open the collection and there is a group of bodies with solid and sinuous volumes, a chair, a chaise longue and a low table with a firm, welcoming presence and futuristic touch of alien inspiration.
Acting almost as a counterweight, there is a family of slender tables and chairs with a celestial look, a reference to spindly and frightening arachnids. And finally, as if in a sign of peace between opposites or the happy ending of Cinderella’s slipper, there is a one-of-a-kind piece: a large table that ennobles a work instrument in a fusion between a workbench–with a mechanism that allows the raising and lowering of the table— and a large and elegant sheet of glass.
It is a unique limited-edition collection that is to be discovered by “feeling” and hearing without thinking too much.
