The large cupola shape of Sonora imposes itself in its space from its dimension. Hanging from an almost invisible wire, it gives the impression of gently floating in the air.

Sonora is the story of a pure geometric form, the half-sphere, obsessively pursued by Magistretti for almost thirty years and expanded over the years into various dimensions and materials. Created as a metal lamp, it was proposed over the years in Murano glass and metacrylate versions.

In Pascal, the cone gets enhanced by repetition. At the end of the tige, supported by the metal base, two upside-down cones get positioned as if they were in balance with one another.

The upper cone hosts a LED light bulb and acts as a “luminator”, the lower one hosts two traditional light bulbs with an E 27 socket and transforms the inclined walls above into perfect reflectors that send the light below.
