Pagine Scritte by antoniolupi, elegance between the stripes

Experimenting with geometry to create elegantly rigorous furniture which occupies any room, the vision of antoniolupi, the Italian company specialized in designer bathroom furniture, constantly perceives the home as a fluid space where pieces of décor get combined and casually moved from the bathroom to the living room. The new Pagine Scritte tables designed by Gumdesign, an early look at Salone del Mobile 2022, are yet another example: the latest in the antoniolupi family, this steel tables take up the theme of stripes, which was already used by the designer in carpets, washbasins, wallpapers, and sideboards, but adds a new 3D effect.

Once again, it is the brand’s style which stands out with its sophisticated balance of proportions, skilled craftsmanship, rigor and versatility. Pagine Scritte is a family made up of three tables in various heights (cm 45x45x20/30/40h), which can be fit together to create ever-changing “interlocking” pieces. Its parallel metallic bars are tapered at the ends and come with a larger section at the center. They create a three-dimensional surface which can be used on its own or in combination with other elements in any space.

Light yet solid, minimal yet striking, these brushed steel tables have a burnished decoration in the central part of the top and project patterns of light and shadow on the floor, inventing textures and forms which change with the light. It demonstrates that minimalist design is not only practical and functional, but can also create bold pieces of décor.
