appy birthday to Faitoo, the kitchen utensil series designed in 1996 by Philippe Starck for Alessi. To celebrate Faitoo’s 20th birthday, Alessi has re-edited the six most popular pieces of the series: ladle, spoon, salad fork, small ladle, spatula and skimmer. And they are now in glossy 18/10 stainless steel, destined to rule the winter to come.
All the utensils of the Faitoo series were originally designed to be hanged on a rod. The re-edited pieces have received an elegant facelift, small changes enhance their informal practicality.
The restyled utensils are: the popular Cucchiaio spoon; the Loochtoo ladle (from the French louche) which also doubles up as a serving spoon; the functional Mangetoo salad fork which can also be used as poultry shears; the Loochtoo small ladle with a spout which measures out everything perfectly; the Peltoo spatula engraved with a smiley face and the zebra-striped Passtoo skimmer.
The re-edited Faitoo utensils are lightweight, functional and designed with great attention to detail, and even if they first came out two decades ago they still meet current needs. Ideal for the modern kitchen: refined pieces with a pinch of irony.
