The peninsula in the study perfectly organizes the space

COVER: Lago, Home Office collection – design Daniele Lago

This composition embraces the whole room and provides the most functional home office. To the left, there is a suspended sideboard which the peninsula extends from with a marble-effect surface and a transparent leg. Meanwhile, to the right, an open bookshelf against the wall copies the table’s style and combines graphite surfaces with transparent ends to create a light and delicate look. The interplays of full and empty volumes are the clever solution to give dynamism to the entire space without creating chaos. All you need is a brightly colored ergonomic chair to add a bold touch. Lastly, the scene is lit up by the large window which gives way to two suspended spotlights which are perfect for illuminating the desk as needed.

Style details

The peninsula desk.

In place of a simple table, this floating surface acts as an appendix of the cabinet and creates a well-used and flawless work area.

The open bookshelf.

It is minimal, austere and bold for its combination of materials and “see-through” glass sides.

The suspended lights.

Instead of the classic ceiling lamp, two suspended spot light hang over the desk. They are practical and more contemporary.
