From the 8th to the 12th February, Messe Frankfurt is expected with great anticipation by professionals from a variety of different backgrounds, such as: buyers, architects, retailers, trend-setters, journalists, designers, decorators as well as the general public, who takes an active part in following the latest style trends.
It’s an authentic melting pot of inspirations, ideas, new products and visions that revolve around the world of home décor. Here, different worlds converge, such as: decorations, tableware, kitchen accessories, household products, public spaces, the catering business, fashion accessories and jewellery.
In fact, the vast assortment of products on display attracts, every year, over 130.000 visitors from all over the world and over 4.000 registered exhibitors (data from 2018).
To walk around the pavilions, subdivided in three large sections - Dining, Living and Giving – is undoubtedly an exciting experience that enables you to be educated on the latest lifestyle trends, style choices and the contemporary aesthetic too.
In this regard, we should mention the exhibition Ambiente Trends 2019, for a comprehensive picture of the most fashionable colours, combinations and moods for the year that’s just begun.
What’s more, Talents is a platform that helps emerging young designers interact with the industry and the market, as it facilitates the exchange of ideas between creative talents and the entrepreneurs who are looking for innovative products for the fields of tableware and interior design. Selected individuals and start-ups have the opportunity to present their projects in two special display areas, Talents and Nest (Pad.4 and Pad.8).
Sustainability is another of the fair’s main themes. In fact, visitors have the opportunity to take advantage of the Ethical Style Guide, compiled by a pool of experts who have highlighted 87 new brands that make a conscious effort towards sustainability, for a total of 248 expositors.
Solutions is another noteworthy event. It shines a light on the products that best represent function and design in the field of kitchen accessories and home appliances.
Point of Experience (pad.4.1 in the Foyer) however, illustrates the future shopping trends and it’s run in conjunction with the event/ conference series Ambiente Academy (Pad. 9.1) that focuses on the way in which the world of retail has evolved in the digital age of e-commerce.
This is undoubtedly a comprehensive event series, you’re bound to be spoilt for choice. For five full days, Ambiente is at the centre of the universe as regards to ideas and design-inspiration.
