Cersaie: Città della Posa

A

s never before, professional training and learning the technical and operational language of the field of ceramics and interior finishes, is what sets apart top construction, architecture and interior design projects from the rest.

Città della Posa, now in its 7th edition and held in a remodelled space inside pavilion n. 31A, is essentially a lab for the experts and technicians of the field: a place for people to train and learn about the latest techniques and technology, breaking new ground as regards to aesthetics as well as developing top performing materials.
Città della Posa is one of the most comprehensive and interesting events of the whole of Cersaie: technical seminars and workshops are run in conjunction with practical demonstrations, aimed not only at technicians but at architects, engineers and surveyors too.

For the 2018 edition, Città della Posa presents six macro-themes that focus on the main topics of the profession. Here, specialized technicians are available for further information and advice, assisted audiovisual and graphic tools as well.

Equally interested in learning about the innovative side of the field, for the general public it’s a change to see the top Italian tilers at work, under the auspice of Assoposa. They will demonstrate the correct way to lay large tiles – the hottest trend at the moment – providing information and answering questions.

The exhibition space is split into four different themes linked to the profession: site safety, the logistics and transportation of large slabs, special sizes, continuous veining on large slabs. There’s a fifth space too that focuses on illustrating the various initiatives planned for the coming months, as well as a presentation of a commemorative book on the first five years of Assoposa.

Finally, as a testimony to the excellence and the creativity of the Italian master tilers, La Città della Posa is enhanced by a portico designed by the architect Valentino Scaccabarozzi.
