A design raffle for a good cause

his fundraising project supported by design is called “A Night with Hope” and was founded to assist the pediatric oncological research at the Istituto di Ricerca Pediatrica Città della Speranza in Padua.

Cassina, Seletti, Driade, Pianca, Edra, Fontana Arte, Bitossi, The One Atelier, Matteo Pala Tappeti, Architetto Michele De Lucchi, and Vistosi are the companies which decided to help medical research take a step forward by donating their iconic designer pieces for a 100% charity lottery.

The goal is to collect funds to finance a pediatric oncological project. An occasion open to all, it will raffle off a designer object or accessory each month. The 1500 tickets are on sale at a price of €20 each which will allow anyone to bring home a designer icon home and the proceeds will be completely donated to the initiative.

To see the objects up for raffle, visit their site (www.anightwithhope.com), while the drawings for the single prizes will take place live on Instagram with Anna Masello, the project’s founder, and the participating companies.

Since 1995 Fondazione Città della Speranza has fought against pediatric oncological diseases and is the main financier of the Istituto di Ricerca Pediatrica (IRP), which each year supports 10 research projects selected by an international scientific commission through the IRP Scientific Direction Grant. A Night with Hope will finance one of these projects led by Doctor Lara Mussolin: a multidisciplinary study capable of identifying new therapeutic approaches to block the most aggressive lymphoma and stop tumor cells from once again replicating after a first remission.

It is an important initiative which you should join immediately because with a simple charitable gesture you can contribute to helping research for the youngest patients, and perhaps win a timeless piece of design like the iconic LC3 by Le Corbusier, l’acquaforte Montagna 5 by Michele de Lucchi or the famous Nemo by Driade, just to name a few.
