Bologna Design Week: Molteni at Palazzo Isolani

COVER: Molteni&C | Dada: Temporary Living Space – Bologna, Italy

In occasion of Bologna Design Week 2017, Molteni&C has invited us to a special event held in the spectacular setting that is Palazzo Isolani. An installation by the architect Sara Simoska takes centre stage; this was chosen as the winner of the Temporary Living Space workshop, run by Youtool and Arredamenti Lolli (who has been a business partner of Molteni&C for over thirty years).

Architects and designers where invited to design a 70sqm scheme for contemporary living to be displayed in the stunning Sala dei Senatori, and the Macedonian architect Sara Simoska was chosen as the winner. Sara was praised for the way in which she interpreted modern-day hospitality. In fact, her scheme revolves around a freestanding table; this creates a suggestive environment that successfully interprets an increasing need for sociable spaces, without distracting from the period style of its setting.

The prize-giving was at the Molteni&C | Dada Flagship Store on the night of the 25th September 2017 and all the four finalists were involved: an extra-special night for all those who attended and were lucky enough to the experience this spectacular historical setting.
