nce again, Milan shows to the world it’s a global design metropolis. In fact, from the 1st to the 9th of October, a new cultural event will take place in the Brera design district: Brera Design Days.
However, don’t expect a repeat of last year’s Fuorisalone. You won’t find installations dotted around the city, you won’t be having drinks looking at new products and there won’t be a busy social calendar with a whirlwind of events and parties. On the contrary, the Brera Design Days, part of Design City Milano, offers a carefully planned schedule of events, aimed at making you reflect on the world of design.
Brera Design Days has workshops, conferences, exhibitions and round tables open to all. The underlying thread is to promote an open and immediate dialogue with and around the world of design with special attention paid to digital projects.
The opening event is at the Mediateca di Santa Teresa digital library with different happenings both at daytime and at night. In the days to follow, showrooms and stores in the Brera district will host launches and talks.
We have jotted down the most interesting: browse our guide, but remember that for some of the events you must book in advance (check-out the official Brera Design Days website to find out more).
