n October 10th and 11th there will be a weekend dedicated to architecture and urban design at Casa LAGO. On the occasion of the Festival Open House Milano 2020, Casa LAGO will open its doors to the public for the first time and invite us to the exhibition Living Woman Artshow.
In the heart of the city, nearby the Piccolo Teatro of Milan, Casa LAGO’s space has been included in the circuit of this year’s festival, which has been celebrating Milan’s architecture and urban design since 2016. It is an important occasion, which in just one weekend brings over 100 locations to life and takes us through various ages and styles in order to tell us about the city’s transformation, the renewal of its suburbs, the development of its modern skyline and its rich historic and artistic heritage.
For this occasion, the spaces of Casa LAGO will turn into the ideal stage for an exclusive vernissage, the Living Women Artshow curated by Christian Gangitano in collaboration with the Casa degli Artisti Milan. Three international artists have been included: the Japanese multimedia artist and proponent of neo-pop and superflat art Tomoko Nagao, the Polish neorealist painter Marta Mezynska, and the Italo-Chinese designer and creator of rain painting Liw Volpini. They are all young mothers who will display the creative process of their artistic imaginations in the 430 meters-squared of the Casa by decorating it with some of their most exemplary works.
LAGO is the ideal domestic backdrop because, throughout its history of research and experimentation, it has always promoted the values of contemporary living through hospitality and empathy. Its home is the perfect representation of the synergy between the contemporary woman and the successful artist.
The guided tour of Casa LAGO and the exhibition Living Woman Artshow is free to enter with required reservation to be made on the Open House Milano site.
