esign200 is back, the auction at Cambi Casa d’aste taking place on October 27 which will put 200 pieces up for auction, including iconic designer lighting, seating, table and accessories.
After last March’s Design200 and June’s Fine Design, it is now time for the second catalog dedicated to Design 200, which includes a selection of products designed by Italian and international masters from the Fifties to the early Seventies. Gio Ponti, Franco Albini, Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Angelo Mangiarotti, Gianfranco Frattini are just some of the prominent names which appear among the auctioned items. A list of the iconic pieces and furniture can also be viewed online on the site www.cambiaste.com.
Standing out among the catalog’s top pieces, there are 1954’s Dahlia chandelier and the Sixties’ 2020 floor lamp designed by the master glassmaker and French decorator Max Ingrand, the artistic director of FontanaArte from 1954 to 1955. There is also plenty of seating like the spectacular and iconic Camaleonda sofa designed by Mario Bellini in the Seventies (today reissued by B&B Italia), or the Soriana model from the couple Afra and Tobia Scarpa, which won the Compasso d’Oro in 1969.
Plus, there are tables like Rosa dei Venti by Mario Ceroli which was produced by Poltronova in 1973 and unexpected accessories like the Sixties’ ironic AT16 coat rack by Osvaldo Borsani or the graphical mirror designed by Santambrogio & de Berti.
It is a can’t-miss event for all design lovers who would like to add a timeless vintage touch to the home.
