uesday the 23rd October 2018 is a date to remember for the lovers of art and design: Artcurial in Paris holds an auction of important works by Ettore Sottsass.
After Charlotte Perriand’s furniture sold in 2017, this time the Parisian auction house has a lot of approximately forty pieces by Ettore Sottsass: a selection that includes furniture, enamelware, pottery, glass and paintings. The standouts are a rare pendant lamp designed in 1957 for Arredoluce, the bookcase part of the series Mobili Grigi by Poltronova and the Poufpouf armchairs designed in 1970.
This is a one in a lifetime opportunity to nab one of Ettore Sottsass’ iconic pieces that with their whimsical aesthetic, have defined the history of design.
