here are only a few days left to see “Il gusto del design” (The taste of design), an exhibition on what’s “tasty” in Swiss design. The exhibition closes on September 15, 2015 at the Istituto Svizzero, Milan.
Nevertheless, it’s worth a visit. It's linked to Expo’s “Feeding the planet” theme and it shows almost 30 items whch go from products and prototypes, to graphic design projects and packaging. All rigorously Made in Switzerland, these items have a clean-cut, minimalist aesthetic.
The exhibition is overseen by Espaces Contemporains – architecture and contemporary art magazine – and Design Days, cultural association. Here, iconic pieces have a story to tell: Essenza coffee maker by Mespresso, Sodastream a device which instantly turns tap water into sparkling water and a range of products from Les Espaces du Design, an annual review of Swiss design.
What’s more, until the end of September, the Swiss Canton Vaud will make you explore the specialities of this region; a special backgrop is provided by the colours of its flag.
