ersaie, the international tile and bathroom fixtures and fittings fair, is back in Bologna from the 25th to the 29th September 2017.
Now in its 35th edition, Cersaie has come out swinging with a complete new look, inspired by designer Giulio Iacchetti. In fact, all the pavilions will be decked out in long silver ribbons and geometric decorations.
The motto “build, live, think” is the underlying thread of the fair, which, just like in the past, will welcome us with the latest trends in the field as well as a variety of ancillary events.
On at pavilion n.30, Milleluci – Italian Style Concept is an exhibition designed by Angelo Dall’Aglio and Davide Vercelli, inspired by the 1974 TV show hosted by iconic Italian singer Mina and showgirl Raffaella Carrà. Plus, “Cersaie disegna la tua casa” (lit. Cersaie designs your home) will be on from the 28th to the 29th, and just like past editions it’ll be held in the media square. “Cersaie disegna la tua casa” will offer a free interior design consultation service, aimed at those visitors who are planning to remodel or refresh the look of their home.
Hot trends for 2017 are: sculptural silhouettes, technological innovation (with special attention paid to sustainability), harmonious shapes and high-end materials. Top quality timber and precious stones are paired up with curved silhouettes and sharp corners, while bold accents of colours break up an otherwise minimalist decor and re-invent the most traditional pieces.
Cersaie 2017 marks the end of matching bathroom decor. It opens the floodgates to a new way of thinking about bathrooms: more secluded, carefree and informal spaces, functional spaces that make the most of every inch, where personal wellbeing reigns supreme. Turkish baths, showers with chromotherapy, home spas, furniture with sliding fronts, ceramic lacework, metallic finishes and eighteenth-century inspired furniture.
The ability to customize and create an extremely personal space; this is the real trend at Cersaie 2017. And this fair wouldn’t be complete without the Bologna Design Week fringe event series. From the 25th to the 30th September, the old town centre of Bologna will come to life with talks, parties, exhibitions and installations. So, find out, while having fun, what your new style could be.
