re you real design addicts, always on the hunt for that special piece? If so, don’t miss-out on the new pop-up store opened by Toiletpaper in Milan. Toiletpaper is the text-free magazine set up by the creative duo formed by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari in partnership with brands Gufram and Seletti.
The Toiletpaper pop-up store opened on the 20th September 2016 with a huge party attended by many designers, VIPs and guests from the world of design. This space in Porta Nuova will be open until the 2nd October 2016. Make haste: this is the first time you can buy in one place everything this creative duo has designed and manufactured throughout their career.
We have rushed there and we can safely say it’s worth a visit. You’ll be surrounded by an infectious magical vibe, which engages anyone who walks past and gazes at this surreal store.
The Toiletpaper pop-up store has the same bold eccentric aesthetics championed by radical design and brands Gufram and Seletti. This is what you’ll see: tableware in enameled metal and walls clad in spaghetti, bags, umbrellas, brightly coloured candles (all by Seletti), large soap bars to sit down on (the famous Soap ottomans by Gufram), toilets in fuchsia and a cascade of flowers. What’s more, on sale for the first time, the first 100 copies of a limited edition Daft Punk vynil record in a special golden finish, designed by the two designers to celebrate the first one million copies of Toiltepaper.
So, this is a really magical pop-up store, the right place to indulge in some designer shopping.
