ou need to add a new event to your calendars: Interni Milanesi – Architetture domestiche di Vico Magistretti (lit. Milanese interiors – domestic architecture by Vico Magistretti). Overseen by Vanni Pasca and Manuela Leoni, Interni Milanesi will be at the Fondazione Studio Museo Vico Magistretti, Milan, from the 24th March until the 18th February next year. This exhibition is divided into three chapters and focuses on domestic architecture and interior design in the city of Milan, as seen through the eyes of Italian architect Vico Magistretti.
Interni Milanesiillustrates the architect’s unique stylistic language. This comes across in the aesthetics of fireplaces, staircases and door-openings, as well as furniture design, which plays a pivotal role in bringing his interiors to life.
There are nine projects in total, which will be shown during three consecutive phases. What’s more, this exhibitionwill reveal to the public the extensive material retrieved by the Magistretti archives: over one hundred freehand sketches by the architect himself, as well as a vast amount of period photographs, taken by some of the most famous Italian photographers of all time.
Without a doubt, Interni Milanesiwill offer you the perfect chance to learn about the design method and to better understand the stylistic language of this iconic Italian architect.
