ema, Italian power-house at the forefront of bespoke furniture design, has now landed in San Francisco! And it's precisely the “windy city”, where Lema began a new partnership with showroom Dsegnare, real port of call for architects, designers and design enthusiasts around the world. What's more, Lema's new head quarters are also in San Francisco, in SoMa to be more precise (South Market), an old industrial borough which has recently become a vibrant artsy neighbourhood.
In fact, the design industry is what keeps SoMa alive and looking so young and fresh: its relaxed creative vibe is hard to copy. What's more, SoMa's artistic vibe is has also been a source of inspiration for Cardenio Petrucci, ex artistic director and founder of Dsegnare, the famous American showroom. And for the first glance, you immediately understand that Dsegnare is not just your average store. In fact, it's really more of a dynamic platform devoted to modern design, constantly being updated and in perpetual evolution.
During the event of the 13th May 2015, held to celebrate the new collection, everything was about design: a refined and welcoming space, a lived-in feel and Lema's typical sartorial know-how. On show where some of our favourites like Armadio and Al Centimetro modular wardrobes, Cloud and Yard sofas and Shade and 3-Pod tables. And undoubtedly, the cherry on the cake was the congenial company of designer Francesco Rota, who entertained guests throughout the night talking about his designs.
Rooms with a carefully planned aesthetic go arm in arm with more relaxed corners with a comfy and informal feel. Lema's style imprint is clear: discrete but nonetheless characterful, harmonious luxury, never fussy, whispered in the sartorial details and in the careful finishes of every single piece.
Dsegnare is an old warehouse regenerated into a vibrant “market-place”, where you will definitely find all the most on-trend designer brands. Dsegnare, San Francisco is now part of a larger retail network, which also includes stores in New York, Miami and Los Angeles.
