Interni Open Borders Piacenza: installation "Ricostruzione" by Emiliana Martinelli - Martinelli Luce
ow in its XIX edition, exhibition/ event Fuorisalone Interni Open Borders is on from the 15th September to the 16th October 2016 and is set to take the city of Piacenza, northern Italy by storm. Interactive installations, large-scale designs and micro-projects are on display in three key locations: Palazzo Rota Pisaroni, Palazzo Farnese and Galleria d’Arte Moderna Ricci Oddi.
There are nine main exhibits, which have already been shown to the public during the latest Milan Design Week, as well as work by a vast number of internationally acclaimed designers, which have been brought together by interior design magazine Interni, promoter of the event.
Certainly, worth a mention is Ricostruzione by Emiliana Martinelli (chairwoman of brand Martinelli Luce) on display at the Galleria Ricci Oddi: light columns that stretch towards and pierce the sky in different directions, while projecting colourful light beams. Here, the underlying message is one of commitment and trust, aimed at anyone who’s going through or has had to overcome adversities in his lifetime, and then has had to start afresh with sheer pluck and courage.
So, why don't you use this opportunity to visit the charming town of Piacenza? All the installations and projects on display push the boundaries of conventional architecture and design, and shine a new light on the historic buildings of the city.
