ith more than three hundred fifty events, expositions and meetings (online or in person) with the world of design, from September 28 to October 10, 2020 Milan will be the stage for Milano Design City: an event dedicated to design culture which takes the place this year of Fuorisalone and Salone del Mobile—cancelled this year due to the Covd-19 emergency.
The main theme of this debut event, which we previewed in June, is attention to sustainability and the circular economy, also with regards to urban spaces. Ready to welcome back the public back in full respect of safety standards, the event’s goal is to relaunch Italian design after the lockdown with tons of projects and a great desire to restart.
Thus, Milan returns to being the world capital of design. In fact, in these days the city districts from Durini to Brera, the 5Vie, Porta Romana, Isola and Tortona are transforming themselves (as happens each year at the opening of the Salone del Mobile di Milano) into true meeting points where one can exchange new ideas, display the latest in décor and create synergy and collaboration with professionals in the sector.
It is an appointment not to be missed and an important signal from the world of design and the sector’s major brands (including the major players Cassina, Moroso, Kartell, Unopiù, Talenti, Pedrali, Molteni&C, Flexform, Oluce, Luceplan, Cappellini, B&B Italia, Porro, Living Divani, Lema, Faber, Boffi, Agape, Minotti and many more) in order to relive the traditional energy of Milano Design Week and gather ideas and enthusiasm for the future.
When: Sept. 28 – Oct. 10, 2020
