our-hundred-square meters and two large windows overlooking a tree-lined avenue, these are the welcoming spaces of the recently inaugurated Molteni&C | Dada Barcelona Flagship Store. At the moment it can be only be admired from the windows while the world waits to restart, and Spain’s most vibrant and dynamic city gets back to normality.
Located inside the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi quarter, a neighborhood adored by major furniture and décor brands, the brand’s new flagship store tries to recall a warm and familiar domestic environment. Distinctive and sophisticated materials like natural travertine alternated with various shades of dark gray create a bold backdrop that highlights the furniture. The showroom covers two floors and is organized into single rooms (open in this case) dedicated to the living room—with sofas and wall units—Dada and Armani/Dada kitchens, the bedroom and the brand’s famous walk-in closets. The war horses created by designers Vincent van Duysen, Rodolfo Dordoni, Ron Gilad, Patricia Urquiola and Nicola Galliza are all present. They follow one another in a fluid and harmonious journey dotted with iconic pieces designed by Gio Ponti in the collection Heritage Molteni&C.
It is a striking space—and an important strategic step for the brand towards establishing a distribution network in the European market—that we hope can reopen as soon as possible.
