Padiglione Brera, the new location of design

Salone del Mobile Milan 2022 is drawing nearer and, despite being postponed to June (with it usually taking place in April), lots of companies are already getting prepared show to us the latest design trends in unique and evocative spaces. Padiglione Brera stands out among the new locations for the way it will transform the special and fascinating Cloister of San Simpliciano in the heart of Brera into the latest stage for design.

Situated in the Basilica of San Simpliciano, one of Milan’s most ancient places of worship, the main cloister was constructed in the mid-1500s to complete the ex-Vignum Basilica which had undergone various changes since the 9th century before taking on the typical characteristics of Romantic style.

One of the most of evocative locations of the Fuorisalone, it has already been used many brands (not only in design, but in art and fashion as well) for events and expositions and was strongly desired by Andrea Galimberti, the director of Nodus and Il Piccolo. This choice was made to recreate the atmosphere and functionality of an exhibition space which, however, is transported into the heart of the city. It will highlight the latest in the sector in a collective exposition focusing on the beauty of quality and accessiblity to everyone.

The list of the brands participating in the initiative is still “secret”, but promises to include the sector’s best brands and offer us an event which can’t be missed. So, there is nothing left to do but write down the address in your agenda and wait for further info.
