ith 600 sqm of spectacular scenes, 7 window displays overlooking the street and an allure that steals the show from the big fashion brands, Duravit has created its own catwalk in the heart of Milan in via San Gregorio, where bathroom décor gets interpreted into contemporary and convivial spaces by almost a dozen internationally renowned designers (including Philippe Starck, Cecilie Manz and sieger design).
Intimacy, comfort and freedom are Duravit’s latest interpretations of wellness, offering a wide range of its own production which include sanitary ceramics, furniture, bathtubs, shower trays, accessories and taps, as well as other wellness products and rinsing systems. In order to introduce the brand’s new collections, the brand has recreated genuine bathroom spaces that have a living room feel and the haute couture, yet natural, elegance of high fashion—just consider the Happy D.2 Plus series, Viu/XViu by sieger design, or the Luv series by Cecilie Manz with its Scandinavian look.
Enveloping forms, discrete colors, quality materials and restrained volumes get alternated and move in perfect equilibrium to create an absolutely harmonious space where contrasts become stylistic elements. There are hi-tech mirrors with LED light, a de-fogging system, a dimmer and warm/cold light adjustment, freestanding bathtubs which reinterpret vintage models, and modern washbasins which contrast (in impeccable style) with wall-mounted or floor-standing vanity units, flush-fitting shower trays, and shower toilets. The past and future and intermingle in Duravit’s countless styles.
The bathroom is presented as a temple of wellness, a sophisticated refuge dedicated to intimacy and an original and private way of living. Finishing off the décor, there is the L-Cube and Brioso bathroom furniture or the new D-Neo series designed by Bertrand Lejoly or also the various series designed by Philippe Starck. The showroom creates an all-encompassing vision of contemporary home design and an expression of the latest in wellness.
