olteni has opened a new flagship store in the heart of Boston, MA. This new space faces Harrison Avenue, in a neighbourhood renowned for art galleries and luxury restaurants. What’s more, it holds a selection of the brand’s more on-trend pieces, by famous designers like Patricia Urquiola, Dante Bonuccelli, Ron Gilad and Rodolfo Dordoni. However, there is now shortage of Molteni’s classic iconic pieces like the D.152.1chair and the D.270.2 armchair, both designed in the seventies by Gio Ponti.
In the entrance hall, large glass panes mounted on blue iron frames introduce the distinctive vibe of the brand: bright sophisticated cosy corners, where colours highlight formal spatial precision and where, among sofas, dining tables, bookcases and chests of drawers, the public gets a taste of Molteni’s clean and contemporary style. However, there is a more intimate and secluded area at the rear of the store. Here, walk-in closets (which are a real dream) bring forward new night-time tastes and wishes; they are flanked by beds, which in the bedroom are cosy key players.
Even this time around, there is a typical Molteni vibe. And in this store, we breathe all the refinement of Italian design and we immediately feel at home.
